Our Week in Kindergarten March 7-11

Hi Families,

Ballet Creole

On Thursday, the Ballet Creole visited and performed at our school. It was a wonderful show filled with creative dance and fantastic drumming!

Beach Day

On Beach Day, we have beach centres. We have beach puzzles, colouring, painting, water, shells, and sand. Most people have towels and sunglasses! We also have beach clothes. We are going to have a fantastic day!

Markers 

Did you know Black Walnut Colour Cycles? We put dried out markers in a box. We have collected 700 so far! We mail the markers to a company that recycles them and turns them into clean fuel! We had fun sorting all the marker lids this week too!

Yoga 
In the afternoon we have started to do yoga. We use cosmic yoga on you tube. We have mats do use for our poses. We like doing 'Star Wars' and 'Frozen' yoga! 

100 Book Challenge

 We have a 100 Book Challenge. Right now we have read 27 books. We have to get to 100. When we do, Scholastic will donate books to a school in need!

Our Week February 29 - March 4

Thank you so much for your support this week! We had a wonderful time practicing and planning for our Spring Dream Concert and hope you enjoyed our performance!

Bluejay/Chickadee Reading Buddies 

In the morning, we have Buddies. After we're done getting ready for the day, the Bluejays read to their Chickadee Buddy. Every week we switch and get a new Buddy. We like reading to our buddies and sometimes our Chickadees read to us!

Concert

On Thursday March 3 we had our concert. We performed for the school in the afternoon and our families at night.We sang O Canada with all of the Kindergarten classes and we got to say 'Yahoo' at the end.Next we sang 'Baby Beluga' and our last song was 'We All Sing'

Kazoos and Scarves 

We thought our song was beautiful. We sang Baby Beluga and we danced and played Kazoos. We got scarves for the girls and instruments for the boys. We played and danced when the music part came and we had lots of fun!




Dentist Visit 
On Monday we went to the school dentist. They checked our teeth with a mirror and gave us a sticker.



Bakery Update 
We have a Bakery in our class. It is big. It is called 'sweet Bakery' and it is almost ready to open.
