Our Vet Office

We have had a wonderful time creating, playing, and learning in our classroom Vet Office.
The students researched different pets they would like and how to take care of them and created different pens/cages for each animal - the bird pen has perches to sit on and a nest, the turtle pen has a pond, and the fish tank has seaweed and an underwater castle.

The students had an amazing idea. They created an x-ray machine from the house centre's microwave - what imagination!
We contacted a Vet Office and they gave us samples of different animal x-rays to look at after each animal has their check-up.
After looking at the X-Rays, some students painted pictures of our pets and labelled their different parts. This has been very helpful at the animal check-ups. Now the doctor and the pet owner can tell what part of the animal is hurt.
