Hi Families,
Here are some stories from our snowy week! Just a reminder to always dress your child warmly for the weather. If the temperature is -20 or below we do not go outside.
On Tuesday, we went on a nature walk. We made a snowman at the forest. One of our Chickadees got a carrot for us to use as the nose!
We went sledding on our nature walk. First we made a pile of snow, and then we turned it into a slide. It was fun! We all like the snow!
This week we read 3 different Gingerbread books. As we read, we thought about what was going to happen and if each book was different or the same.
We really liked the story about the Gingerbread Girl because she used her hair to tie up the mouth of the fox and she didn't get eaten! She was a smart Gingerbread Girl and she had a beautiful dress made of candy.
After playing in the snow last week we have been curious about igloos. Now, we have an igloo in our classroom! We looked at different books on igloos and we learned how the Inuit make an igloo and what it looks like inside a real igloo!
Building Block Challenge
In math, we had a building challenge. We could only use 10 blocks to create something. We could use rectangles or squares. We were very creative and worked hard to count each block one at a time.
