3. Get the cubes
4. Fill up your cup
5. Count your cubes at the end
We read the book 'Handa's Surprise'. The story takes place in a village in Kenya, Africa. We decided to do a puppet show with this book. We have made some animal puppets and we put sticks on them. and some fruit to go in Handa's basket.
We did vegetable and fruit art. We painted the different things and then we stamped them on the page.
We used:
-potato
-celery
-peppers
-lemon
-apple
-cucumber
-broccoli
-cauliflower
-carrot
-orange
We have a new shelf in our class that some chickadees helped to put together by following the instructions in a book. we sorted and counted the parts and followed the directions step by step. Now we want to measure the shelf with different things from all around our classroom. We chose blocks, pencils, and name tags. So far we have measured with pencils. Our shelf is 11 pencils tall.
