This week was filled with fun and excitement! With assemblies, presentations, a trip to the park, and new additions to our Kindergarten area, we have definitely been on the 'happy side'.
We finally had our first tulip bloom today! It is pink! It looks like we have lots more coming too! We have been watching the tulips grow from our classroom using binoculars!
Our Kindergarten area now has a weaving wall. We use different ribbons and streamers to weave into the fence and create pictures and art.
We had a Zoo presentation this week. A lady showed us some extinct animals and animal bones and we got to pretend to be cougars, mountain lions, and a heron.
Instead of going to the forest this week, we had art in the park. We sat around the blue park and drew pictures of what we saw.
We are learning about our feelings and learning how to get to the happy side (optimism) when we are on the sad side. We made a list together of words/feelings that are happy and sad and made happy/sad masks with plates and popsicle sticks. We made a happy side and sad side book. It was full of stories about what makes us happy and sad and how we can get to the 'happy side'.
