Our Week April 16 - 20

Hi Families,

Our concert is one week away and there is lots happening in our classroom to prepare!
Please remember that our concert begins at 6:30 but the doors to the gym will open at 6:00. Seating is first come, first serve.
There will also be snacks and refreshments being sold starting at 5:45 as well as arts and crafts made by our students.

Here are some stories from the week.

Plastic Bag Challenge!
Monday is the last day to bring in plastic bags to recycle. We have so many it is amazing! We will give them to Walmart on Monday after school to recycle.

At the Zoo
This week at the zoo we focused on animals that use camouflage in different ways. We learned about zebras, lions, cheetahs, foxes, and rabbits.
We also read the book 'Felicity Floo Visits the Zoo' and made a book of our own.

World Book Day
Today Black Walnut celebrated World Book Day! Our class dressed up as Pete the Cat. We read and listened to Pete the Cat stories and we even made a play to retell our favourites! We think we will perform it at our Kinder Star assembly on April 30th so stay tuned!!

Concert Preparations
We are so excited to perform for you next week. We were busy making costumes for our Hula dance this week - we look amazing!! We also made signs and posters to decorate the gym. You are going to LOVE our performance!
