Here are some stories from the week.
Seed Paper
Last week we made seed paper using paper towels. We took our seed paper to the garden and dug holes to bury it. There has been lots of rain so hopefully our seed paper will start to grow.
Tulips
We have been watching lots of tulips growing around Black Walnut and were excited to see 2 red ones are blooming. There are lots more green stems and leaves - maybe they will bloom next week!
Book Fair
Our Scholastic book fair was this week. We like to look at all the books and make a list of favourite titles. Thank you for supporting our school library by purchasing books.
Movie Theatre
Our classroom movie theatre is now open! You have to have a ticket to save your seat. If you have a ticket you can watch our movie this week. It is Elephant and Piggie stories.
TorQ Percussion Group
On Tuesday, we went to the big gym for a drum performance. The group played on lots of different instruments - even garbage cans! They reminded us that everyone can make music!
Kites
Since it was so windy on Thursday. we decided to make kites! We read the hilarious story 'Stuck' and then we each planned and made our own kite. We went out first to test them and then went inside to fix and change our kites if we needed to. Then we went back outside to have some fun! Lots of kites were flying but not very high. If you have any ideas - let us know!
Mother's Day
We have been working all week to make presents for our wonderful Mothers! We hope you enjoy!
