Happy New Year and welcome to 2017!!
We were excited to be back at school to share stories of our Winter Holiday. Ms. Boag shared her Holiday journal with the class. Some other friends have shared too - but we have lots more!
Ms. Ancona surprised us with a new 2017 Minion calendar. We have learned about the months of the year through stories and songs. We talked about special days in each month and some of us even remembered which was our birthday month!
Beautiful JunkWe have an excellent collection of beautiful junk growing! Next week, we will begin to sort our collections. Thank you for sending in items!
2D and 3D shapes
Before the break, we learned about 2D shapes and in the new year we are learning about 3D shapes.Did you know that '3D shapes are fat NOT flat?!'
We also discovered that we can find 2D shapes on 3D shapes - a cube is made of squares!
G.O.O.SJanuary's ECO theme is G.O.O.S. This means 'Good On One Side'. If you want to write or draw, try using a piece of G.O.O.S paper. It will help make less garbage.
